Father Found A Police Officer In A Daughters Bedroom

A Henry County police officer was fired Friday after allegedly being caught with a 16-year-old girl during what is being described as an inappropriate activity while on duty, according to investigators.

Randolph Cobian, 28, has been charged with one count of sexual molestation and one count of aggravated sexual molestation. He was being booked into the Henry County Jail Friday evening.

Investigators say Cobian was found inside a home with the 16-year-old engaging in a sex act early this morning. The girl’s father apparently found them.

Cobian was on duty, and was supposed to be on patrol.

“We apologize to the community for the behavior of this officer. It does not reflect the standards of the officers, and men and women who serve this community. We find it an affront to the dignity of not only law enforcement, but of the moral standards of this community, and we find it to be a very egregious act,” said Mike Turner, the Henry County Public Safety Director.

Cobian is a swim coach at a private school and had coached the teen for over a year.

The GBI is handling the investigation. The school has been notified, authorities said.
